A Shared Purpose in Both Languages
Rather than replacing Japanese words with English equivalents, we adjust explanation order and sentence length for the audience's background and terminology conventions. Research themes, publications, news, and policies are managed to keep their meaning consistent across languages. An English summary linked to a detailed Japanese page is also an option.
What We Produce
- A list pairing Japanese and English pages, URLs, and update owners
- Agreed translations and style rules for organizations, affiliations, roles, and specialist terms
- Page copy that distinguishes full translations, summaries, and untranslated content
- Language switching, metadata, and update and review guidance
How Copy and Updates Are Managed
Japanese copy, existing translations, and official names are used to produce the paired pages. Update procedures cover both languages, with untranslated or older versions clearly identified.
What to Share When You Contact Us
- Target pages, intended readers, priority language, and publication order
- Approved Japanese copy, existing English translations, and any glossary
- Official English names for people, affiliations, degrees, and outputs
- Reviewers for both subject content and English expression
Translation and Review Scope
Your subject reviewer provides final confirmation of technical content and proper names. We agree at the outset whether pages need full translation or a summary. Certified translation, simultaneous translation of every page, additional languages, and journal-manuscript translation require separate discussion. An older language version is not presented as current.
